Your bank card details will fail to save for one of these 4 reasons:
1) You entered the numbers wrong - please check and triple check. We check what you give us against bank records, any mistakes and we can't accept them.
2) You don't have 50p on you bank card - We run a 'pre-authorisation check' which is a charge of £0.50 on your bank card when you upload your it, which we immediately delete (so no money actually leaves your account). This check ensures your card works. If you don't have 50p on your card the check will fail.
3) Your bank blocked the card upload - this occasionally happens for customers who have not used The Money Platform before. Your bank might block the pre-authorisation check of £0.50 and call you up / send you a text to check you are trying to use The Money Platform. You might need to call your bank up to confirm you are trying to use The Money Platform.
4) We haven't heard of your bank before - if you are using a new bank account e.g. Starling / Monzo there is a chance our system will not recognise it. Send us an email or start a chat with us and we'll try and get your card added.
